We report the classification of AT2026abza from spectroscopic observations with the Kast spectrograph on the Shane telescope obtained on 2026 October 3 UT. The target was supplied by ZTF and was identified using the target management platform YSE-PZ (Coulter et al., 2023, PASP, 135, 4501).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
ZTF26abtdxyz | AT2026abza | 04:41:06.15 | -03:07:09.10 | 0.062 | Other | post-peak | (1)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) The spectrum displays a featureless blue continuum. Superimposed on the continuum is a narrow H alpha emission line corresponding to z = 0.062. Subsequent spectroscopic observations with the Kast spectrograph on 2026 October 10 UT display the same features.
