We obtained a high-resolution spectrum of the symbiotic star AX Per on 2026 Feb 07 (JD 2461079.33971112) following the outburst reported in the ATel#17630. The spectrum was obtained using the ESPERO spectrograph (Bonev et al. 2017, BlgAJ, 26, 67) mounted on the 2m RCC telescope at Rozhen NAO, Bulgaria. We measured the equivalent widths on selected emission lines, visible in the spectrum, and compared them with the EWs measured on a spectrum of AX Per from 2018 Sep 02.

Spectral line 20180902 20260207
-102 Å -125 Å
-57 Å -66 Å
He I 6678 -6 Å -13 Å
He I 4471 -22 Å not visible
He II 4686 -139 Å -146 Å
[O III] 5007 -14 Å -54 Å
[Fe VII] 5721 -13 Å -1 Å
[Fe VII] 6086 -17 Å -2 Å
Our observations confirm the drop in the high ionisation [Fe VII] lines (ATel#17630).
