We report the classification of AT 2025actn from spectroscopic observation with the Kast spectrograph on the Shane telescope. The target was supplied by ATLAS. Observation was made on 2025 November 10 UT. Classification was performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
ATLAS25nxy | AT2025actn | 03:52:58.858 | -23:04:44.24 | 0.083 | Ia | -6 d | (1)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) We measure Si II 6355 velocity of -14,200 km/s. The redshift was determined using emission lines from the host galaxy.
