CSS080924:233423+391423 is a transient discovered by CRTS on 24 Sep 2008 UT 03:50:32. The discovery images indicated flaring on a scale of minutes with the four 30 second images separated by 10 minutes registering V magnitudes of 19.8, 19.4, 18.2 and 19.4. Combined CSS images from the past do not reveal any source at that location. There is a barely visible source in N band DPOSS plate (near-IR) but no source is visible in 2MASS or other DPOSS plates. Subsequent imaging at the Palomar 60-inch telescope yields magnitudes of 18.6, 18.4, 18.0 and 18.9 in Gunn g, r, i and z bands respectively (25 Sep 2008 UT 02:55:27).

The nature of this object is not clear since despite the flaring and fading it has persisted for 24 hours. Further observations are requested.
