The Chinese ground follow-up telescope (C-GFT) observed the field of SVOM triggers (Rodriguez et al, ATel #16719) on the X-ray outburst from XTE J1946+274, which was also detected by MAXI/GSC (Nakajima et al. ATel #16717). Our observation started 13:26:42UT, July 18, 2024, about 6.3 hr after the trigger. A set of 10s images were obtained in gri band. The optical counterpart of XTE J1946+274 was detected in all sequence images. In our ~5.2 hr observation, the stability of measured brightness are 17.63 +/-0.15, 16.06 +/-0.05 and 15.04 +/-0.05 for g,r,and i band, respectively. No obvious brightness changes were seen in all filters. Our result is consistent with that reported by Weikang et al.(ATel #16720). The photometry was calibrated with catalog of Pan-STARRS release 1 (PS1) from vizier. We thank the observation assistant Guangsheng Zhang at Jilin observatory for their excellent support. C-GFT is supported by the SVOM project, a mission in the Strategic Priority Program on Space Science of CAS.
