CCD images of the Aquila X-1/V1333 Aql field taken with the OHP 1.2-m telescope by R.Giraud on June 3.09 UT show the optical counterpart to be bright for the first time this season, at V=17.9, or 1.3 magnitudes above the quiescent combined flux of stars 'a' and 'e' (Chevalier et al 1999, A&A, 347, L51). Publicly available real-time 2-10 keV RXTE ASM data yield a counting rate of only about 3 c/s (39 mCrab), indicating this might be another weak-activity episode (see ATEL #1232). Obervations at other wavelengths are encouraged.
