The latest outburst of the recurrent nova RS Oph occurred in August 2022. The time of the eruption is estimated to be at JD2459435.0 = 2021 Aug 08.50 (Munari & Valisa, 2021, arXiv:2109.01101).
We performed photometric observations of RS Oph in Sloan g', r' and iâ bands with the 40 cm telescope of the Shumen University "Episkop K. Preslavski", Bulgaria (Kjurkchieva et al. 2020, BlgAJ, 32, 113) on 2022 March 24. We have not detected flickering on minute-to-hour time scale with amplitude greater than 0.04 mag.
At quiescence RS Oph exhibits variability on minute-to-hour time scale with amplitude 0.2-0.3 mag in B band. This variability disappeared after 2006 and 2021 outbursts, as a result of the destruction of the accretion disc by nova outburst. The photometric data presented by Worters et al. (2007, MNRAS, 379, 1557) showed evidence of the resumption of optical flickering by day 241 of the 2006 outburst.
Our observations indicate that the accretion is not reestablished by day 227 of the 2021 outburst.
We expected that the flickering should appear in the next 30 days.
