We report the classification of AT2021agid from spectroscopic observations with the Goodman spectrograph on the Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) telescope, made on 2021 Dec 18 UT. The target was supplied by ATLAS. The classification was performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
ATLAS21bniy | AT2021agid | 12:38:28.477 | -40:22:13.32 | 0.011 | II | +20d | (1)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) We measure an H-alpha absorption velocity of -6,800 km/s.
