Swift observed the field of ASASSN J205543.90+240033.5 (ASN-J2055 hereafter), a proposed
AR Scorpii type binary (Kato et al. 2021, arXiv:2108.09060; arXiv:2109.03979) with an
apparent orbital period of 12.56 hours and possible white dwarf spin modulation of 9.77 minutes.
Two visits on 2021 Sept 6 were separated by three hours with the initial integration of 1206s in
the UVW2 filter and later a 1049s integration in the UVW1 filter. ASN-J2055 was well-detected in both filters with UVOT event rates above sky of over 3 counts/s.
The average flux estimated in the UVW2 filter is 3.2e-15 erg/cm2/s/Ang and 1.5e-15 erg/cm2/s/Ang
in the UVW1 filter. Light curves constructed using time bins ranging from 10s to 60s were extracted from the event data. No clear periodicity is detected at the expected 10 minute time-scale in either filter.
No significant x-ray detection of ASN-J2055 is seen in the XRT images.
