PGIR21fjn/AT2021kgk is a highly reddened Galactic infrared transient
recently discovered by the Palomar Gattini-IR survey on 19 April 2021 (ATel #14567).
Rapid follow-up observations were performed to identify its nature (ATels #14570, #14571).
The sky region of PGIR21fjn/
AT2021kgk was covered by INTEGRAL observations one day after its discovery, during monitoring of GRS 1915+105
carried out from 20 April 2021 at 15:53 UTC to 21 April 2021 at 18:07 UTC.
The transient source was not detected by IBIS/ISGRI (17 ks on source exposure)
in the hard energy band 25-60 keV, the derived 3 sigma upper limit is 3.8 mCrab or 3.4 x 10
-11 erg cm
-2 s
-1. Similarly, PGIR21fjn/
AT2021kgk was not detected at softer X-rays by both monitors JEMX (38 ks on source exposure) and the derived 3 sigma upper limits are 1.8 mCrab or 2.7 x 10
-11 erg cm
-2 s
-1(3-10 keV) and 4.6 mCrab or 3.7 x 10
-11 erg cm
-2 s
-1 (10-20 keV).
Further INTEGRAL observations of the region including PGIR21fjn/
AT2021kgk are planned for the coming days.
