No radio emission has been detected near the position of the untyped supernova 2008bk (CBET 1315) with the Very Large Array (VLA) radio telescope with a three sigma upper-limit of 0.18 mJy at 8.46 GHz (wavelength 3.5 cm) and 0.46 mJy at 22.46 GHz (wavelength 1.3 cm) on 2008 Mar. 29.74 UT. SN 2008bk is unusually close (v = 227 km/s, z = 0.000757 d ~ 3.5 Mpc) and is suspected to be a type II SN (CBET 1319). Detailed observations are encouraged at other wavelengths. Radio observations are continuing. We would like to extend our thanks to the VLA scheduling officers for their support of our observing program.
