We report the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) detection of the 2020 eruption of the recurrent nova M31N 2008-12a. The discovery of the 2020 eruption with the Liverpool Telescope has been reported by Darnley et al. ATel #14130.
The first ZTF detections of the 2020 eruption of M31N 2008-12a are g-ZTF = 18.33 +/- 0.09 on 2020-10-31 05:50:42 UTC and r-ZTF = 18.29 +/- 0.07 on 2020-10-31 07:42:41 UTC. The last non-detection by ZTF was on 2020-10-29 05:40:54 UTC with a limiting magnitude r-ZTF = 20.04.
