Following the discovery and classification of SN 2020nxt as a Type Ibn supernova (TNS Report #75680), we have triggered the Hubble Space Telescope program, "UV Spectroscopic Signatures from Type Ibn Supernovae Strongly Interacting with a Circumstellar Medium," (GO-13784; PI=Fox), as well as Swift ToOs. HST is scheduled to obtain FUV/NUV spectra of SN 2020nxt with STIS around July 19, 2020 15:08 UT and a second epoch of NUV spectra around July 28, 2020 15:16. We encourage simultaneous follow-up observations at all wavelengths and invite you to join our analysis.
We thank the STScI staff, especially S. Deustua and M. Leveille, for implementing the disruptive HST trigger and the Swift team for scheduling follow-up.
