We report on a significant NIR brightening of the high redshift (z=1.274) Blazar PKS2246+208, cross identified with the QSO BZQJ2249+2107. On December 2nd,2019 (MJD 2458820.74) we found this source with enhamced fluxes; J = 14.671 +/- 0.04, H = 13.790 +/- 0.03 and Ks = 12.944, while on MJD 2458789, the flux in the H Band corresponded to H = 14.820 +/- 0.05. Hence, the source has increased its flux by one magnitude in a lapse of 30 days. Our observations are carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage.
