Independent Discovery of a Probable Nova in M31

We report the independent discovery of a probable nova in M31 on a co-added 810-s R-band CCD frame taken on 2019 Dec. 16.081 UT with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov in poor conditions. The new object was confirmed on a co-added 1530-s R-band CCD frame taken on Dec. 16.968 UT with the same instrumentation.
The object was independently discovered and first announced by X. Jiang,G. Sun, M. Zhang and X. Gao and designated as PNV J00422050+4114599 = AT 2019wvf, and independently discovered also by Gaia (designated as Gaia19fow). The object was designated by us as M31N 2019-12b and is located at R.A. = 0h42m20s.53, Decl. = +41o14'59".7 (equinox 2000.0), which is 268.3" west and 68.8" south of the center of M31 (see link to discovery image below).
The following R-band magnitudes were obtained using the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov:
2019 Dec. 10.868 UT, [20.8; 16.081, 18.0 ± 0.25; 16.968, 17.6 ± 0.15.
