Spectroscopic confirmation of M31N 2019-09b as nova in M31

We report spectroscopic observations of M31N-2019-09b (PNV J00424232+4117458, ATel#13109). We obtained Gemini GMOS spectrum (4x450sec exposures) of this nova on 26 Sep 2019 10:40 UT through the ToO program GN-2019B-Q-221 (PI: Lee, C.-H.). The spectrum clearly shows strong H-alpha and O I emission lines, as well as hints of weak He I emissions, confirming that M31N 2019-09b is a nova in M31.
