We report on spectroscopic classification of the optical transient ZTF19abraqpf discovered by the ZTF survey on 2019-08-21.8 UT. The transient was classified as a classical nova eruption in ATel #13055, however further inspection of its spectrum reveals that the event is a dwarf nova outburst.

The spectrum (obtained on 2019-08-25 with the Kast double spectrograph on the Shane 3 m telescope at Lick Observatory, ATel #13055) shows a blue continuum and weak Balmer and He I emission lines. Hbeta shows a narrow emission on top of a broader absorption. The FWHM of Halpha emission line is around 650 km/s, indication of low velocities. The overall spectrum is characteristic of a dwarf nova outburst.

We thank Soraisam et al. for sharing the spectrum of ZTF19abraqpf.
