We confirm spectroscopically the optical nova candidate M31N-2007-11c reported in ATEL #1275 (see also CBAT M31 nova page).
A 2700 sec spectrum (range 360-750 nm; 2.7-nm resolution) was obtained on 2007 Nov 16.95 with the Asiago 1.82 m telescope (+ AFOSC).
The spectrum shows a blue continuum and strong Balmer lines up to H-epsilon with H_alpha FWHM of about 1700 km/s.
FeII(42) (492.4,501.8, 516.9 nm ), FeII(49)(531.7 nm), FeII(74)(614.8, 623.8 nm) and NaI D emission lines (the latter with a clear P-Cygni profile) are also visible, which suggests that this object belongs to the FeII nova class (Williams 1992,AJ,104,725).
