On June 24, 2019, we obtained a spectrum of the optical transient AT2019hxc from ATLAS survey, located in the nearby galaxy ESO 571-G6 (z=0.012158), with the Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS - Dopita et al., 2007, ApSS, 310, 255) on board 2.3m ANU telescope at Siding Spring Observatory. We classify the transient as a Peculiar (91T-like) Type Ia Supernova (SN Ia) by cross-correlating with a library of supernova spectra using GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383). The spectrum of AT2019hxc matches with 1999ac at 0.5 day before maximum brightness.
