We report the following classifications of optical transients from spectroscopic observations with FLOYDS on the Faulkes 2-m robotic telescope at Siding Spring Observatory, Australia. Targets were supplied by ASASSN. Observations were made on 2019 May 14 UT. Classifications were performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Notes
ASASSN-19ml | AT2019fcn | 08:07:08.057 | -28:03:22.75 | 0.003 | II | (1)
ASASSN-19mn | AT2019fct | 13:11:37.550 | -29:15:55.30 | 0 | CV | (2)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) H-alpha emission at z=0.003 appears consistent with the putative host galaxy ESO430- G020. Classification is consistent with ATel #12757.
(2) Strong blue continuum emission and Balmer lines with z=0 appear consistent with a CV.
