Spectroscopic classification of ASASSN-19kz as a young Type II supernova in NGC 2207

We obtained a spectrum of ASASSN-19kz (AT 2019eez) on 2019 Apr 28.96 (UT) with the Goodman Spectrograph on the SOAR telescope. The source is associated with NGC 2207 (z ~ 0.009). The continuum is very blue, and faint, broad H-alpha is present, suggesting a classification as a young Type II supernova.
