AGILE is detecting renewed gamma-ray flaring activity above 100 MeV from the blazar PKS1830-211 (also known as BZQ J1833-2103). Integrating from 2019-04-22 23:47:52 UTC until 2019-04-23 23:47:52 UTC, a preliminary multi-source maximum likelihood analysis yields a detection at the level of about 9 sigma and a flux F(>100 MeV) = (1.8 +/- 0.3) x 10^-5 photons/cm^2/s. For a more conservative 48h integration from 2019-04-21 23:47:52 UTC until 2019-04-23 23:47:52 UTC, we obtained a detection of about 11 sigma and a flux F(>100 MeV) = (1.3 +/- 0.2) x 10^-5 photons/cm^2/s. Previous intense and prolonged gamma-ray activity from this source was reported in the recent ATel's: #12622, #12603, #12594, #12541, #12252, #12136. The flux on 1-day integration represents a further increase of the maximum flux value ever detected.
The AGILE-GRID detection was obtained while AGILE is observing in spinning mode, surveying a large fraction of the sky each day. The source can be monitored with the public mobile application "AGILEScience" developed by the AGILE Team, available for both Android and iOS devices.
Multifrequency observations of PKS1830-211 are strongly encouraged.
