On MJD 52710.2, the RXTE ASM found activity in the neutron star
low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1608-52 at a level of 250 +/- 20 mCrab.
Summing ASM dwells into one-day averages, 4U 1608-52 was first
detected on MJD 52707.4 at a flux of 30 +/- 20 mCrab, rising to 100
+/- 20 mCrab on MJD 52708.5. Dwells today (MJD 52710) have measured
fluxes as high as 290 +/- 20 mCrab. Observations at all wavelengths
are encouraged.
