The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of AT2019gc=ATLAS19acv. The target was supplied by TNS (https://wis-tns.weizmann.ac.il) and ATLAS survey (see Tonry et al., 2011, PASP, 123, 58).

The observation was performed on Jan 6, 2019 at 18:20UT with the Asiago 1.82m >Copernico Telescope (+AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.4 nm).

The spectrum is that of a FeII-type nova with strong HI Balmer emissions. Other strong emission are FeII 501.8 MgI 517.8 and OI 777.3 nm. The Halpha emission has a FWHM=3100 km/s.

The Asiago classification spectrum is posted at the website http://sngroup.oapd.inaf.it.
