R-band photometry of the Blazar 3C 454.3 in outburst

We report R-band photometry of the blazar 3C 454.3 (z = 0.859), currently in outburst. It is almost 2 magnitude brighter than in October 2006, as reported using the 1.03 m telescope at Tuorla Observatory, Finland, and the 35cm telescope at the KVA observatory on La Palma, Canary islands, Spain. Observations where performed through a standard R filter with 20 and 35cm MEADE LX200 telescopes, equipped with SBIG ST9 CCD cameras. The obtained magnitudes are: UT 2007 August 10.927, R=13.64; August 12.014, R=13.13; August 13.974, R=13.10; August 14.912, R=13.10; August 23.940, R=13.31.
