We report the following classifications of optical transients in K2 galaxies from spectroscopic observations with the LRIS spectrograph on the Keck I telescope. Targets were supplied by PSST. All observations were obtained on 2018 Jan 16 UT. Classifications were performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
PS18ep | AT2018ha | 09:11:22.99 | +23:51:28.45 | 0.061 | Ia | +0 d | (1)
PS18eo | AT2018hb | 09:06:15.26 | +17:20:21.64 | 0.114 | Ib | +8 d |
PS18eq | AT2018hc | 09:15:38.72 | +17:18:22.25 | 0.102 | II | |
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) Matches to SN 1991bg-like SNe Ia near peak. We measure an Si II 6355 velocity of -9,800 km/s.
