Following the report of renewed X-ray activity from the black hole
candidate 4U 1630-47 (ATEL #106) we observed the source with the
Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) with observation
midpoints at 2002 September 16.3, September 19.4 and September 24.4 UT.
On September 16, four of the six ATCA antennas observed 4U 1630-47
for 12 hours at 20/13 cm and 6/3 cm. On September 19 and 24 we used
five and six antennas respectively at 3 and 6 cm. Imaging observations
in I, Q, U, V were performed during all three runs.
The source was not detected on any of the three observing dates.
The 1-sigma detection limit was approximately 95, 180 and 180 microJy on
September 16, 19 and 24 respectively, at both 3 and 6 cm. On September 16,
confusion at 20 and 13 cm limited the image rms in the region of the source
to 760 and 350 microJy respectively.
