On Aug 16, 2017, we obtained a spectrum of an optical transient AT2017ful/Gaia17bwt with the Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS - Dopita et al., 2007, ApSS, 310, 255) on board 2.3m ANU telescope at Siding Spring Observatory. This transient was discovered on July 26, 2017 by Gaia satellite at a magnitude of 18.9. We classify the transient as a broad line Type Ic Supernova at a redshift of 0.081 with a phase of 20 days after peak by cross-correlating with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
