We obtained a spectrum of ASASSN-17jw/AT 2017frh (ATel #10606) on 2017 August 2.3 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Las Cumbres Observatory 2-meter telescope on Haleakala, Hawai'i. Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find a good fit to the normal Type Ia SN 1998aq 1 day after maximum light at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.032; Sánchez Almeida et al. 2011, ApJ, 735, 125 via NED). The spectrum is available on the Transient Name Server.
