We obtained a spectrum of ATLAS17iig/AT 2017fel (Tonry et al. 2017, TNSTR, 12396) on 2017 July 8.6 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Las Cumbres Observatory 2-meter telescope on Haleakala, Hawai'i. Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find a good fit to the normal Type Ia SN 1989B 5-7 days before maximum light at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.031; SDSS DR13, via NED). The spectrum is available on the Transient Name Server.
