GMRT radio detection of a type II supernova SN 2017eaw

We observed Type II supernova SN 2017eaw (ATel #10372, #10374) with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) on 2017 June 24.88 UT in 1390 MHz band. We clearly detect radio emission from the supernova position. The flux density of the supernova in this band is 230+/-68 uJy. More observations are planned. We thank GMRT staff for carrying out the observations.
