We report the following classifications of optical transients from spectroscopic observations with the Echellette Spectrograph and Imager (ESI) on the Keck II telescope. Targets were supplied by ATLAS and ASAS-SN. All observations were made on 2017 June 24 UT. Classifications were performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).

Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
ATLAS17hlo | AT2017ewx | 14:02:16.52 | +07:40:44.2 | 0.016 | Ib | +6 | ASASSN-17ie | AT2017exo | 18:31:41.90 | +16:39:07.3 | 0.016 | Ia | -7 | (1)

Notes: When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy. (1) The minimum of the Si II 6355 line is blueshifted by -14,100 km/s.
