We obtained an optical spectrum (range 360-860 nm) of SN 2017ekr(=ATLAS17glh),discovered by ATLAS, on UT June 03.8 2017 with the 2.16-m telescope (+BFOSC) at Xinglong Station of National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC). The spectrum is consistent with that of a type Ia supernova a few days before peak brightness. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the spectral comparison tool Gelato (Harutyunyan et al.,2008, A&A,488, 383) shows that it matches with SN 1992A at about 5 days before the maximum light. After correcting for a redshift of 0.0199 for its host galaxy UGC 12323, an expansion velocity of about 13500 km/s can be derived from the absorption minium of Si II 635.5 nm line. Our classification spectrum is also posted on the IAU Transient Name Sever: http://wis-tns.weizmann.ac.il/object/2017ekr/
