We obtained a spectrum of dlt17bk/SN2017ejb on 2017 May 29.34 UT with the robotic FLOYDS instrument mounted on the Las Cumbres Observatory 2-meter telescope in Siding Spring, Australia. Using the Supernova Identification code (SNID, Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J., 666, 1024), we find a good fit to both normal and 91bg-like SNe Ia one week before maximum. Giving the redshift of its host (z= 0.009867, NGC4696 via NED), SN2017ejb appears faint (R = -15.9) for normal SNe Ia. Giving the low luminosity of SN2017ejb and its remote location, further observations are encouraged. The spectrum is available on the Transient Name Server
