We report optical spectroscopic observation of supernova candidate Gaia16cbd (2016iuh) taken at UT 2016-12-13.47 with OSMOS (range 398-686 nm) mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. The target was reported by Gaia Alerts (http://gsaweb.ast.cam.ac.uk/alerts/alertsindex). We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to identify the type and phase of the SN spectra.

The spectrum matches several SNe Ia (SN 1991bg, SN 1986G and SN 2006bt) near the peak. SNID estimated redshift is consistent with the host redshift of UGC 07367 (z=0.0136, NED).
