SALT Spectroscopic classification of nuclear transient Gaia16cac

We report the spectroscopic classification of a nuclear transient Gaia16cac discovered by Gaia. The spectrum was obtained using the Robert Stobie Spectrograph (RSS) on the South African Large Telescope (SALT). The target were selected from Gaia Photometric Science Alerts webpage (http://gsaweb.ast.cam.ac.uk/alerts). Spectroscopic classification was done using SNID code (Blondin & Tonry 2007).
