In course of periodical monitoring of transient source Aql X-1 we detected it's significant brightening at night July 31/Aug01. This event is evidently linked with X-ray activity as reported in (ATel #9287, ATel#9292). Photometry was provided in BVR passbands using by a 1-meter Zeiss-1000 telescope of Special Astrophysical Observatory of Rus. Ac. Sci. Estimated value of magnitude in time interval July, 31 19:30--21:30 UT, R = 16.85 +/- 0.05. Our last brightness estimate of Aql X-1 in quiet phase was R = 18.4 +/- 0.05 at epoch June, 26th. More precise data are in preparation. Further observations at all wavelengths are encouraged.
