Spectroscopic Classification of SN 2016aqv as a Type IIn Supernova

We report an optical spectrum (range 340-900 nm) of SN 2016aqv (ATEL #8757) that was obtained on UT Mar.01.8 2016 with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of Yunnan Astronomical Observatories (YNAO). The spectrum is characterized by narrow Ha peak that is superimposed on a blue continuum. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the spectral comparison tool Gelato (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) shows that it matches with SN 2005gj at t ~ 12 days after the explosion.
