Spectroscopic Classification of PSN J05031639-0256110

We report the classification of PSN J05031639-0256110 (CBAT TOCP) in MCG -01-13-050 based on a low-resolution spectrum obtained on Oct. 10.1 UT with the Nordic Optical Telescope (+ ALFOSC; range 320-910 nm). Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) provide best matches with type Ib supernovae around the maximum light.
