We report the spectroscopic confirmation of PSN J09310887+4623054 (SN 2013gs) with observations obtained with the 1.82-m Copernico Telescope in Asiago (+ AFOSC; range 340-820 nm, resolution 1.3 nm).

A spectrogram obtained on Dec. 05.20 UT suggests that SN 2013gs is a type-Ia supernova at redshift z~0.016888 (Falco et al 1999, PASP 111, 438, via NED database). The best match was found with type-Ia supernova 1999dk (Asiago Supernova Archive), about 10 days before maximum light. The expansion velocity as deduced from the position of the Si-II 635.5nm absorption is about 15000 km/s. These findings are in agreement with those reported by Zhang & Wang 2013 (CBET 3734).

The Asiago classification spectra are posted at the URL http://sngroup.oapd.inaf.it ; classification was made via GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024).
