MASTER OT J 200455.61+440220.4 – new CV? MASTER-Amur auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 20h 04m 55.61s +44d 02m 20.4s on 2012-10-30.48363 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 17.2m (limit 17.6m). The OT is seen in 2 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2011-06-12.66294 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 19.0m.

There is nothing within 6" from the OT in USNO-B1.0, GSC 2.3.2, 2MASS, 1RXS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. However, there is a faint star (mag ~21) at the position of OT visible on the digitized Palomar plates. Color-combined (BRIR) DSS finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J200455+440220-BRIR-5x5.jpg (FOV=5'x5'). This area is not covered by GALEX, SDSS, NEAT and CRTS.

The galactic latitude is +6.5 deg. We suggest that MASTER OT J200455.61+440220.4 is likely a new cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova) in outburst. Spectral observations are required.
