We report on a detection of possible supernova OGLE-2012-SN-005, found towards the Magellanic Bridge in the course of the OGLE-IV search for transients, carried out by the Warsaw 1.3 Telescope in the Las Campanas Observatory.

The supernova is located at Ra,Dec (J2000.0) = 3:00:50.89, -70:31:11.4, 5 arcseconds south of apparent galaxy 2MASX J03005080-7031070 (from NED). It was discovered during a semi-automated search for transients on 2012-10-12.29171 UT (HJD = 2456212.79171) at magnitude 18.0 in the I-band.

The data collected so far by the OGLE are listed below:
2456208.75797 18.365 0.024
2456212.79171 18.012 0.019
2456213.87176 18.189 0.039

The light curve indicates the SN has just reached the maximum brightness or might still be on the rise.

Photometric and spectroscopic follow-up is strongly encouraged.
