We report the spectroscopic confirmation of 2 PSNe with observations
obtained with the 1.82-m Copernico Telescope in Asiago (+ AFOSC; range
340-820 nm, resolution 1.4 nm).
The spectrogram of PSN J01184597+1459402, obtained on Sept 18.00 UT, shows very strong He lines
typical of type-Ib supernovae. Adopting for the host galaxy UGC 838
the redshift z = 0.0229 (SDSS1 via NED), the best fit with the GELATO tool (Harutyuyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383) on a vast
library of supernovae spectra is with SN 1999dn (Benetti et al. 2011, MNRAS 411, 2726) one day before maximum.
The spectrogram of PSN J02245064+1610543, obtained on Sept 18.05 UT, shows the
typical features of a normal type-Ia supernova. Adopting for the host galaxy PGC 9159
the redshift z = 0.0272 (LEDA), the best fit with the GELATO tool (Harutyuyan et al. 2008, A.Ap. 488, 383) on a
library of supernovae spectra is with SN 2002dj (Pignata et al. 2008, MNRAS 388, 971) three days before maximum.
The expansion velocity derived from the position of the SiII doublet is 14350 km s-1.
