We report a spectrum of recent M31N 2011-09a=PTF11mcx obtained with the Double Spectrograph on the 200-inch Hale telescope on Sept. 21, 2011. In the spectrum, prominent line emission, including Balmer series, O I 8447 and 7773, Na D as well as Fe emission features, are superposed in a weak continuum component. All lines are blueshifted by about 300 km/s, consistent with
M31. The FWHM of Halpha is ~2,500 km/s. The spectrum confirms that M31N 2011-09a is a real M31 nova of Fe II type.
