An inspection of the spectrum of SDSS J130623.89-014033.6 (plate=339; mjd=51692; fiber=524) which was classified as a z=4.512 quasar by the SDSS-DR8 automatic classification, suggests that it is in fact a type-II supernova at z=0.019. This is confirmed by numerous lines seen in the SDSS spectrum of the supernova, including the Balmer and Ca II lines. The SN is found 24.84"E 18.45"N of the galaxy CGCG 015-062 (z=0.0182). The synthetic magnitudes of the SN derived from its spectrum taken on MJD=51692 are g=21.57, r=20.40, i=20.46 mag. The SDSS fiber magnitudes measured on MJD=51586 are g=18.34, r=17.74, i=17.73 mag.
