IGR J17375-3022 detected and localised by Swift/XRT

The new hard X-ray transient IGR J17375-3022, detected by INTEGRAL in the 20-150 keV band (Ricci et al. 2008, ATel #1781), has been observed by Swift for an effective on-source time of 8 ksec. The observation started at 2008-10-14T17:29 U.T.
Within the INTEGRAL IBIS/ISGRI error circle of 2.2 arcmin, there is one bright X-ray source detected in Swift/XRT. The position of this source is RA=264.3911, DEC=-30.3876 with an uncertainty of 3.5 arcsec, at 24 arcsec distance from the position reported by INTEGRAL.
The XRT spectrum can be represented by an absorbed power law model with photon index 2.3Â±0.1, and an intrinsic absorption of 1.6Â±0.2 e22 1/cm**2 (assuming a Galactic hydrogen column density of 1.2e22 1/cm**2). The model flux in the 2-10 keV band is 1.9e-11 erg/cm**2/sec. A black body or a compTT model give a significantly worse fit result to the data. The source appears to be fading over the duration of the Swift observation.
