I observed the Type Ibc SN 2007gr (CBET 1034) with the Very Large Array beginning on 2007 Aug 17.41 UT. AT 8.46 GHz I detect a radio transient consistent with the optical position with a flux density of 610 +- 40 microJy. Follow-up observations with the Very Large Array are ongoing.
I further note that a Chandra DDT observation of SN 2007gr is planned for 2007 Aug 29 to map out the
broadband (radio to X-ray) SN spectrum.
