M31 Nova Candidate

We report the discovery of an apparent nova located at RA(2000) = 00h 41m 58.33s, Dec(2000) = +41° 14' 10.6", which is 518.5" west and 117.9" south of the center of M31. Available R-band magnitudes from 3x300s CCD images taken with the 50/70cm Schmidt telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria: June 14.022, 19.1; 15.012, 18.9. The nearest variable is M31 V0708 (GCVS4.2, 2004) at distance 3.52".
