ATel #9910; M. J. Darnley (LJMU), for a larger collaboration

In ATel #9906 we reported late-time photometry of the 2016 eruption (ATel #9848) of the recurrent nova M31N 2008-12a.

Unfortunately due to a transcription error the reported photometry and the subsequent interpretation was incorrect.

The photometry of M31N 2008-12a at 2016 Dec. 27.887 is u' = 23.40 ± 0.20 (now also based on three 600s exposures).

This amounts to a 5.3 σ detection of the waning eruption of M31N 2008-12a. Therefore this indicates a deviation from the u'-band light curve obtained during the 2015 eruption (Darnley & Henze et al. 2016) which is broadly consistent with the surprising X-ray observations recently reported in ATel #9907.
