M31 Nova Candidate

We report the discovery of an apparent nova located at RA(2000) = 00h 42m 43.27s, Dec(2000) = +41° 17' 48.09", which is 11.8" west and 99.6" north of the center of M31. Available R-band magnitudes from 3 180s CCD images taken with the 2m telescope at NAO Rozhen, Bulgaria: December 24.6853, 19.01; 24.7368, 19.00; 24.7632, 18.93. The nearest variables are POINT-AGAPE No.26942 at distance 2.6" and WeCAPP Survey No.15638 at 1.5".
